The Value of Your Contributions
Your support helps us provide the tools to achieve excellence and meet the challenges of the future. The Department of Architecture offers a wide range of giving opportunities. You may give an unrestricted gift or request that your funds be used to support specific needs, programs or projects.

Four funds that need your support
The Department is focused on building the following four funds to provide support across the program:
Student Leadership Development Fund: Student participation in off-campus programs, preparation for competitions, attendance at conferences, assistance with supplies, mini scholarships and financial assistance and other project support that is critical to their professional development.
Faculty Leadership Development Fund: Faculty need to be kept abreast of the latest technologies. Professional development support and release time ensure faculty are leading the education mission.
Sustainability Fund: Funds will assist students and faculty as the Department increases awareness of designing a more sustainable environment.
Interdisciplinary Fund: Supports the work of students and faculty engaged in integrative and collaborative interdisciplinary design studios and scholarship project.

Many projects are supported through these funds, and through the generous contribution of companies and individuals to specific needs. Some examples include:
Workshops ($1,000) NEW
Sponsor one of the following workshops: Portfolio, Drawing, and/or Technology. More Workshop Information
Book Challenge ($5,000-10,000)
Match the student’s commitment to excellence with your investment in the Media Resource Center (MRC) book collection. More Book Challenge Information
Publication of Student Work ($5,000)

Need Based Support for Student Projects ($12,000)

Student Laptop Computers ($20,000)
Sponsor eight students a year who cannot afford the initial purchase or the upgrade of laptop computer. More Laptop Computers Information
Workshops ($10,000 yearly)
Travel Fellowships to attend the International Herbstakademie in Neukloster, Germany 2007-2011 ($10,000 yearly). More Workshop Information
2nd/3rd/4th Year Travel Fellowship
($5,400 per studio -18 students)

Metro Internships/Co-ops ($15,000 to establish fund)

Digital Media (variable)

Final Quarter Design Reviews ($4,000 per session)
