Needs Based Support for Laptop Computers
Learn by doing has long been central to Cal Poly’s mission. In the Architecture Department, learn by doing also means integrating the use of the required laptop software to assists within the development of projects. While many of the students can afford the initial costs to purchase and upgrade laptop computers, there is a substantial segment of the student population cannot afford and even dream afford to own this indispensable equipment. Due to financial hardship, students who have limited financial means will be unable to participate appropriately in the department’s curriculum.
A special fund to meet these needs would provide on-going assistance to assure that a student’s learning experience is not curtailed through limited financial resources.
The funding would be administered through the office of the Architecture Department Head and would be need based. Support of this fund will only be accomplished through your generosity.
