Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) are always looking for exceptional talent and consider Cal Poly an excellent source for that talent. However, WDI is a project-based company whose talent needs vary as the result of dynamic project requirements. Internships and employment programs are therefore quite fluid. Lectures
- Professor Johanne Riegels Østergård from the DIS in Copenhagen will be speaking to our students about Scandinavian architecture on February 23, 2009 at 4pm in the Berg Gallery. NEW
- Raymond Neutra, son of the Austrian born architect Richard Neutra will offer an informal lecture and talk about his father's hopes for the role of Brain Science in architecture and how the VDL Studio/Residences exemplify his beliefs. Title of the lecture is “Richard and Dion Neutra Studio/Residences, Significance and Survival.” Tuesday January 21, 2009 at 4pm in the Berg Gallery 05-105. NEW

Resume Building
- To help "Sustain our Profession" (engineering and design) BENTLY recently deployed a major upgrade to the “Student Only” Resume Center service on the Be Communities web site. This enhanced service gives you the opportunity to easily post or update your resume in a system that thousands of prospective employers from the design and engineering communities will be reviewing.

Scholarships
- 2009 AIA Corporate Architects and Facility Management Scholarship (Submission deadline: January 22, 2009 )
This scholarship is administered by the AIA Corporate Architects and Facility Management Knowledge Community: http://www.aia.org/cafm_default. The Scholarhsip is open to students currently enrolled in an architecture program and does not require a special interest in alterative careers such as facility management or corporate architecture.

Two Revit training sessions will be conducted:

Miscellaneous Information
- College Base Fee
The officers of the CBF have voted to reimburse the LEED Practice Test fee of $400 for twenty (20) students who have successfully completed the examination. Please email Henri de Hahn and send all original receipts and proof of having successfully completed the examination to Alissa Magorian. We will promptly process your request.

- California Architectural Foundation (CAF)
Ken Rodriguez is an alum of the Architecture Department and is a member of the California Architectural Foundation. Ken will make a presentation to share the CAF’s mission to financially help students with their education (time and place TBD). In particular Ken will speak about the upcoming Mel Ferris Scholarship. Last year, two architecture students received awards.
