A Museum of Steel
Student: Katsunori Shigemi
Instructor: Thomas Fowler
Course: ARCH 352-2007
Katsu's project combined strong points of both production modes; mechanical production and digital reproduction. The full scale machines show their physicality with the mass, scale and distance. The reproduction of machines, such as the draped wall and projected structures, amplify the message and send it broadly. Eventually, the entire architecture becomes a reproduction of the machines and start informing people.
